Three Must See Wedding Photo Locations In Malta

When planning a wedding budget many couples are surprised at how much photography can cost. However, when you consider that your photos are going to be the longest lasting part of your day, and are likely to be the only thing you will hold on to into old age, you’ll realise it’s worth the investment to get photos that truly capture the beauty of your day and all of its happy memories.

A great photographer is important, but giving them a great scene to shoot is just as important. Even the best photographer in the world will struggle to create a stunning image in an ugly location. Malta is home to some truly breathtaking locations that will create a perfect backdrop to photos you will want to look at for years to come. Here are three of our favourites…

Ghajn Tuffieha Bay

Slicing dramatically into the cliffs, this sandy bay is picture perfect. There are 200 steps leading from the hilltop down into the bay, and the top of the steps is a stunning spot for a photo, with the land falling away behind you into the sea. If you catch the moment just right a breeze blowing your dress and hair in the wind would add further drama to your shot.

Busket-Gardens

The only wooded area in Malta, Buskett is a picturesque botanical garden that is home to orange trees, olive groves and vineyards. It’s the greenest area of the island, so provides lots of opportunities to take photos set amongst plants and flowers to complement your wedding outfits.

Valletta City

A wander through the quaint back streets of Valletta will provide all sorts of charming surprise scenes for photos. From rustic doors to crumbling walls, the classic Maltese architecture will provide plenty of romantic and interesting backdrops for your photos.

Wherever you choose to have your wedding ceremony in Malta, it is worth checking to see if there are any other stunning locations nearby. Sometimes just a quick walk down the road with your photographer can lead to some of the most magical shots of your day.
